Founder Simon Stürtz is wholeheartedly engineer and entrepreneur, but also idealist. Even prior to university, he founded his first company in the field of events technology. Sustainable implementation is just as important to him as economic success: correspondence is largely paperless,
the offices obtain green electricity and unavoidable emissions (especially for travel routes) are compensated. And this is exactly how the Panterito Foundation originated. The afforestation project in Panama was the result and has in the meantime grown to 65,000 m2.
We only have this one
Our life is based on the use of the resources that our environment offers us. The way of life in industrialised and emerging countries, as well as the growing world population, place a heavy burden on natural resources. It is therefore only logical to strive for a balance relationship between human needs and the preservation of our ecosystems and their biodiversity. The sustainability of our society is highly dependent on the responsible use of natural resources.
Building a future
The Panterito Foundation supports projects and young organisations within the field of environmental protection, at home and abroad. In addition, the second focal point is exchange, knowledge transfer and environmental education. Children and young people in particular are to be given access to a sustainable understanding of nature through the funding of educational institutions. Our international projects support cultural exchange and jointly improving living conditions.
Ecological and economic sustainability
It is important to us that the continuity of our projects is secured in the long term. After a period of support, the projects should be self-sustainable and be able to continue without further support. Together with our project partners, we develop models for financial independence. This is where ecological and economic sustainability come together. For example, a water dispenser needs a long-term financing model for the necessary maintenance to guarantee years of fresh, clean drinking water.

Financing
The funds of the Panterito Foundation come, according to its history, mainly from donations of the founder and companies of artlogic founded by him. Our team works voluntarily.
We have joined Transparency Germany´s Initiative Transparente Zivilgesellschaft (transparent civil society initiative) in order to present our work openly to everyone.
Team
Our team currently consists of three people who also form the board.

Why Panterito?
The fictional word Panterito, which sounds like ‘little panther’, has its origin in the famous pink cartoon character. Because founder Simon Stürtz is said to walk with swaying and swinging arms just like Paulchen Panther – if you keep your eyes open, you may recognise him in Larnaca or Friedrichshain.
