Our life is based on the use of the resources that our environment offers us. The Panterito Foundation aims to contribute in reaching a balance between human needs and the conservation of our ecosystem and its biodiversity.
The Panterito Foundation is active in the field of environmental protection, environmental education and development cooperation. Our focus is to promote valuable projects of our partners in this field. The three cornerstones of our foundation are ecology, economy and accountability.
We are particularly concerned with projects that are effective and where input and impact are well balanced – large and small, regional as well as international. Ideally, they are designed for the long term and become self-sufficient after a period of support.
Forestlands are a crucial resource for climate and water balance as well as biodiversity. Additional to protection and reforestation, permanent solutions are developed through sustainable management together with the local populations in the project regions.
Our water projects support changes on a small scale. Instead of large-scale investments, the aim here is to change our every-day lives in small steps towards sustainability – for example through tap water consumption.
